Parents, Alumni and Fans Travel Strong for Annual Sunshine Tour

The WWU Vikings traveled to Ellensburg, WA for a Friday night lights face off against Central Washington University.

WWU travelled north of the border for a non-conference game against the Trinity Western University Spartans. The weather was wet, but the playing conditions were not a factor. The Langley Events Centre Stadium provided an excellent venue for some rugby.

It was a beautiful fall day for rugby between two schools that have played each other over the past 60 years.

It was not a good day for duck hunting in Eugene as the Vikings failed to bag their limit during an 80 minute time frame. Lots of opportunities but poor aim and decisions on the field cost the Vikings a victory. Final Score was 17-15 for the home side.

The WWU Vikings hosted the Boise State Broncos for the opening game of the 2024 NCRC season.

WWU Men's Rugby 7s strong roster came out on top in the 10-school tournament

Gerry Henson was a wrestler at Western Washington University, but started playing rugby in 1967 after being convinced by Larry Willman. He cherishes the great friendships and life experiences that came from taking up rugby on Willman's invitation.
