2023 Golf Day Out

Western Washington University Rugby Alumni, with the support of title sponsor, Scan Global Logistics, held their Annual Golf Tournament September 30th at the Grandview Golf Course in Custer, WA.

‍

Forty-nine golfers enjoyed great weather and fellowship with friends and alumni throughout the day.

‍

The WWU men’s rugby team greeted players as the arrived and assisted in every aspect of the successful event. Attendees enjoyed fruit, coffee, and muffins before heading off to their designated holes.  Brian Hargrove, WWU Alumnus, prepared and served food and beverage to each golfer.

‍

Thank you to Ned Kennedy and Dan Barclay for the efforts in providing succulent Bivalves to the players as they finished their day of golf. Thank you as well to Ray Gilbride for loaning the use of his BBQ and assisting in cooking. He also played the role of official photographer for the event.

‍

The award for best team went to Darin Hamm, Lauren Hamm, Jacob Fischer, and Greg Ellis.

‍

I would like to acknowledge our Golf Committee:  Matt Henderson, Brian Jensen. Paul Horne, Brian Hargrove, Gerry Henson, Kansas, Madak, and Max Stone for their contribution for a well-executed event.

‍

Hats off to all field and event sponsors and our special thanks again to our title sponsor Scan Global Logistic, owned by WWU rugby alumnus, Ron Lee, who was joined by his 3 boys. It truly takes a village to pull off a successful tournament.


Let's continue this tradition and make it an occasion to celebrate WWU Rugby players, supporters, and alumni!
