Jim Sterk, WWU's Newly Appointed Athletic Director

Jim Sterk, the newly appointed Athletic Director at Western Washington University, is a Bellingham-born and Everson-raised alumnus who has returned to his alma mater after a successful 35-year career in athletics administration. Sterk's connection to the university runs deep as he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Physical Education from WWU. After graduating, Sterk played rugby for the Chuckanut Bay Athletic Association.

With an impressive background in athletics administration, Sterk has held prominent positions at renowned institutions such as the University of Missouri, San Diego State University, Washington State University, and Portland State University.
